The challenge
Speckle noise destroys diagnostic detail in MRI. Separately, gene-expression assays are slow and costly, while whole-slide pathology images are fast and cheap.

What I built
The thesis asks whether whole-slide pathology images can stand in for a gene-expression assay — recovering molecular-biology signal directly from gigapixel images, under a hard constraint on compute and latency.
