What this site and the work behind it are actually built with, and why each piece is there.

Two lists live on this page, and only one of them is prose. The entries below are stored as data — each with the role it plays and the reason it is there — so that the list can be right rather than tidy.

The rule for inclusion is use, not preference: a tool appears here when it is load-bearing in work that has actually shipped. Anything tried once and dropped is not on the list, and neither is anything on it only because it would look good.

This site is itself one of the entries. It is built with React and Vite on the front, FastAPI and PostgreSQL behind it, and it is public source in the sense that matters most here: every claim it makes about how it is built can be checked by using it.
